Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau in the provincial science and Technology Office recently organized a group of experts on 464 LED lighting project undertook serious evaluation, determined the Guangdong Province as the first batch of LED lighting industry standard of place of project project 87, Guangdong Province has a total of 93 enterprises and institutions to take the lead, 486 units involved in standards development cycle, 6 - 12 months. Standard project content includes light biological safety, comfort, product life fast detection and mainstream product performance requirements such as safety, quality and test method standards.

Guangdong Province is a large province in manufacturing LED lighting products, in 2011 the LED output value reached 150000000000 yuan, which accounted for 70%, 50% of the world. But as a result of LED lighting is a burgeoning industry, technology is at a stage of rapid development, the lack of a unified product quality evaluation standard and product manufacturing, application of the product, product safety standard, resulting in LED lighting product quality motley crowd, popularize and apply the market seriously restricts.

As the breakthrough restricts Guangdong Province LED lighting industry development bottleneck, in early 2011, Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau organized a Guangdong Province LED lighting industry standard system plan and roadmap development, comprehensive standardization concept, from strengthen the industry standard design proceed with, put forward to support Guangdong Province LED lighting industry development needs 130 pre project standard; in January this year, the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau and Hall of province science and technology holds a press conference, announcement of " Guangdong Province LED lighting industry standard system planning and road map ", and to solicit public LED lighting industry 130 pre project local standards development work unit commitment.

The solicitation of Guangdong Province by universities, research institutions and related enterprises to actively respond to LED. Since this year May, Guangdong Province has a total of 662 enterprises and institutions submitted 464 project bear the declaration, to declare the project in addition to the standard system plan proposed 130 pre project project, also made 19 for new project.
